Vidaus reikalų viceministras Arnoldas Abramavičius susitiko su Jungtinių Tautų generalinio sekretoriaus specialiąja įgaliotine dr. Najat Maalla M’jid aptarti kovos su smurtu prieš vaikus ir kitus susijusios klausimus.
„Lietuvoje dedame visas pastangas, kad apsaugotume vaikus nuo smurto, nusikaltimų grėsmių ir Europoje vykstančio karo poveikio. Šiame kontekste, kova su prekyba žmonėmis, įskaitant ir vaikais, yra kompleksiška ir jautri, itin svarbi vidaus reikalų sistemos darbo dalis. Tam telkiama nemažai Policijos departamento resursų. Tenka apgailestauti, kad tokio pobūdžio nusikaltimams atsirado daug daugiau erdvės po Rusijos išprovokuoto karo prieš Ukrainą“, – susitikime sakė viceministras A. Abramavičius.
Viceministras pažymėjo, kad nors Lietuvoje prekybos žmonėmis aukų tarp vaikų skaičius nėra didelis, nerimą kelią tai, kad bandoma naudotis nepilnamečiais, kurie gyvena nepasiturinčiose šeimose, kuriose trūksta socialinių įgūdžių, kur vartojamos narkotinės bei psichotropinės medžiagos bei alkoholis, taip pat nukečia globos įstaigų auklėtiniai.
Susitikimo dalyviai pažymėjo, kad saugant vaikus nuo nusikaltimų ir įtraukimo į jų padarymą, būtinas tarpinstitucinis bendradarbiavimas, kadangi šiame darbe būtina užtikrinti ne tik teisinio bet ir operatyvinio, socialinio ir bendruomeninio bendradarbiavimo sąveiką ne tik šalies viduje bet ir su užsienio partneriais.
Nusikalstamų veikų žinybinio registro duomenimis, 2022 m. Lietuvoje nuo visų nusikalstamų veikų nukentėjo 1522 vaikai, iš jų – 833 berniukai (53,7 proc.) ir 719 mergaičių (46,3 proc.).
Specialioji įgaliotinė birželio 5–7 d. vykstančio vizito metu susitiks su Lietuvos Respublikos Vyriausybės, Seimo, Vaiko teisių apsaugos kontrolieriaus įstaigos, ministerijų, kitų institucijų ir nevyriausybinių organizacijų atstovais.
Susitikimų metų planuojama aptarti vaiko teisių apsaugos įgyvendinimo politiką Lietuvoje, vaiko teisių apsaugos principų įgyvendinimą ir skiriamus resursus, visų formų smurto prieš vaikus paplitimo ir jo prevencijos klausimus, pagalbą smurtą patyrusiems vaikams, pagalbą Ukrainos ir migrantų vaikams ir kitus aktualius klausimus.
