Balandžio 17 d. švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministrė Jurgita Šiugždinienė su komanda pradėjo vizitus po regionus. Pirmoji stotelė – Utena.
Su mokytojais, mokyklų vadovais ir savivaldybių atstovais ministrė kalbėjosi jiems rūpimais klausimais. Daug diskusijų kelia įtraukties principo įgyvendinimas. Ministrė sulaukė klausimo: jei mokyklos dar nėra pasiruošusios įtraukčiai, tai gal reikėtų atidėti 1–2 metams?
„Atidėlioti negalime. Lietuvoje jau dabar apie 90 proc. specialiųjų ugdymosi poreikių turinčių vaikų mokosi bendrose klasėse ir darželių grupėse su bendraamžiais. Todėl turime stiprinti paramą mokytojams ir mokykloms – daugiau švietimo pagalbos, pritaikyta infrastruktūra ir ugdymosi procesas. Nėra ir nebus tokio momento, kad galėtume pasakyti – dabar mes jau pasirengę. Tai nuolatinis procesas. Visur, netgi Šiaurės šalyse, – sako J. Šiugždinienė.
Pasak ministrės, visi vaikai, visi mes esame labai skirtingi – skirtingai mokomės, skirtingai klausome ir girdime, skirtingu greičiu suvokiame. Jau nekalbant apie tai, kad galime turėti ir stipriau išreikštų specialių poreikių. Mes tobulėjame tik todėl, kad esame visi skirtingi. Įvairovėje slypi progresas.

Ministrė balandžio–birželio mėnesiais lankysis visuose šalies regionuose. Susitikimų metu bus diskutuojama pedagogams kylančiais klausimais, aptariami iššūkiai ir gerosios patirtys. Susitikimuose kartu su ministre dalyvaus ir kiti vadovai, ministerijos specialistai, Nacionalinės švietimo agentūros atstovai, kurie atsakys į klausimus apie bendrojo ugdymo programų atnaujinimą, Gyvenimo įgūdžių programą, visuotinį įtraukties principo įgyvendinimą.
