Žemės ūkio ministerijoje apsilankęs Ukrainos žemės ūkio politikos ir maisto viceministras Vitaliy Golovnya kartu su Lietuvos žemės ūkio viceministru Vyteniu Tomkumi ir žuvininkystės specialistais aptarė daug šiam sektoriui aktualių klausimų.

Pusę visos jos sudaro karpiai, po to pagal produkcijos vertę rikiuojasi Šiaurės Afrikos šamai, eršketai, europiniai unguriai, vaivorykštiniai upėtakiai. Ukrainos akvakultūros sektorius panašus į Lietuvos, auginamos tokios pačios žuvų rūšys (karpiai, upėtakiai).
Viceministras V. Golovnya pabrėžė turintis didelių vilčių dėl tolesnio visapusiško bendradarbiavimo su Lietuva. Žemės ūkio viceministras V. Tomkus patvirtino, kad Žemės ūkio ministerija yra pasirengusi padėti ukrainiečiams geriau susipažinti su ES ir Lietuvos žuvininkystės valdymo sistema bei praktika, taip pat pasiūlė visapusišką ekspertinę pagalbą Ukrainos teisės aktų harmonizavimo su ES teisės sistema procese.
