Penktadienį Lietuvos sveikatos mokslų universiteto(LSMU) Kauno ligoninėje atidarytas Geriatrijos centras. Jo paskirtis – teikti platų medicininių paslaugų kompleksą pagyvenusiems žmonėms: šalia stacionarinio gydymo skyriaus čia veiks dienos stacionaras, vykdomas ambulatorinis gydymas ir konsultacijos. Atidarymo iškilmėse dalyvavęs LSMU Kauno ligoninės vadovai, LSMU rektorius prof. Rimantas Benetis ir sveiktos apsaugos ministras Arūnas Dulkys akcentavo Geriatrijos centro indėlį į senstančios visuomenės sveikatinimą ir praktinės medicinos bei mokslo ryšį.
Sukurta moderni materialinė bazė
LSMU Kauno ligoninė prieš dešimtmetį pirmoji šalyje įsteigė stacionarų Geriatrijos skyrių, kur integruojama senyvų žmonių medicininė, psichologinė ir socialinė priežiūra, atliekamas visapusiškas paciento ištyrimas, diagnozuojami ir gydomi specifiniai geriatriniai sindromai, lėtinių ligų paūmėjimai. Nuo šiol pacientams bus siūlomos ir Geriatrijos dienos stacionaro bei ambulatorijos pasaugos.
Šilainiuose, Josvainių g. 2 esantis centras įsteigtas viename iš LSMU Kauno ligoninės korpusų. Jame ir jo prieigose iš esmės atnaujinta infrastruktūros bazė. Tam buvo parengtas projektas ir pritraukta beveik 6 mln. eurų ES fondų lėšų. Kaip sakė šio projekto vadovė, LSMU Kauno ligoninės direktorė valdymui ir infrastruktūrai dr. Helga Marija Kauzonė, projekto vykdymo eigoje pavyko pritraukti papildomai apie 700 tūkst. eurų.
Įgyvendinant projektą suremontuotos ir perplanuotos visos patalpos, įsigyta medicininės įrangos. „Geriatrijos centre įrengtos dvivietės ir vienvietės palatos su visais reikalingais buitiniais sprendimais ir patarnavimais bei naujais baldais, įrengta mokomoji virtuvė bei atskiras valgomasis pacientams, šiuolaikiškai įrengta kineziterapijos salė, ergoterapijos kambarys, yra maldos kambarys, taip pat šiuolaikiškai įrengti gydytojų ir personalo kabinetai, erdvės studentams, veikia internetas. Įsigijome brangios medicininės įrangos kaip kompiuterinis tomografas (apie 900 tūkst. eurų vertės), šviesolaidinis rinofarinolaringoskopas, mobilus rentgeno aparatas, mobilus ultragarso aparatas, densitometrijos aparatas, stacionarus ultragarso aparatas bei įvairių gydymui reikalingų priemonių“, – pasakojo dr. H.M. Kauzonė.
Šalia korpuso, kur veikia Geriatrijos centras, įrengta papildoma automobilių parkavimo aikštelė, kad vyresnio amžiaus, neįgaliems, liguistiems, demencija sergantiems žmonėms būtų galimybė saugiau ir patogiau atvykti į centro patalpas.

„Nuolat siekiame teikti kokybiškas medicinines paslaugas, skiriame didelį dėmesį jų inovatyvumui. Šis centras yra dar vienas reikšmingas žingsnis diegiant pažangius ir modernius gydymo metodus mūsų įstaigoje“, – pabrėžė LSMU Kauno ligoninės generalinis direktorius prof. habil. dr. Albinas Naudžiūnas.
LSMU Kauno ligoninės direktorė medicinai prof. Diana Žaliaduonytė akcentavo, kad Geriatrijos centre bus vykdoma klinikinė, mokslinė ir pedagoginė veikla, dar daugiau išplėstas medicininių paslaugų spektras. „Toliau stiprinsime ambulatorinę geriatrijos grandį, vystysime skyriaus stacionarinį gydymą, steigiame dienos stacionarą. Dažnai kyla klausimas, kuris gydymo būdas efektyvesnis ligoniams: stacionarus ar ambulatorinis. Kuris variantas tinkamiausias būtent geriatriniam pacientui? Turėdami visas minėtas grandis, galėsime įvertinti, koks turėtų būti tas racionalus balansas, kokią dalį paslaugų skirti stacionariam ir kokią ambulatoriniam ar dienos stacionarui. Lietuvoje plėtojamoje geriatrijos paslaugų srityje būsime lyderiai, praktiškai parodantys, kaip pasiekti geriausius šių metodų derinimo rezultatus ir optimaliu būdu užtikrinti pacientų gydymo poreikius“, – kalbėjo prof. D. Žaliaduonytė.
LSMU rektorius prof. Rimantas Benetis pabrėžė Geriatrijos centro reikšmę LSMU ir bendrai medicinos sisitemai. „Visuomenė sensta, ir tai kelia daug iššūkių tiems, kurie formuoja sveikatos politiką, ir tiems, kurie ją įgyvendina. Šio centro atidarymas yra labai svarbus ir ligoninei, ir universitetui. Sąlygos, kurias čia ras tiek pacientai, tiek didelis būrys integruotų specialistų, yra išskirtinės. Kaip rektorius matau didelę erdvę Universiteto ir ligoninės bendradarbiavimui, būsimiems mokslo darbams. Visiems, kurie dirbs šiame centre, linkiu sėkmės ir kantrybės sunkiame ir labai reikalingame darbe.“, – kalbėjo jis.
Sveikatos apsaugos ministras Arūnas Dulkys sakė, kad geriatrijos tinklo steigimas – toliaregiškas žingsnis, reaguojant į demografinius pokyčius ir senėjančią visuomenę. Šių paslaugų poreikis tik augs, todėl svarbu tam pasiruošti ir sukaupti patirtį jau dabar.
„LSMU Kauno ligoninė yra geriatrijos paslaugų pirmeiviai, tai simboliška, kad čia atidaromas šių paslaugų centras. Ji tarnaus lyg vadavietė po šalies ligonines išsidėsčiusiems geriatrijos skyriams, gerinant paslaugų kokybę, prieinamumą, keliant personalo kvalifikaciją. Dalis skyrių jau atidaryta, dalyje vyksta baigiamieji darbai, tai greitai turėsime visiškai funkcionuojanti naujų paslaugų tinklą. Dėkingas trims dešimtims savivaldybių, kurios atsakingai pažiūrėjo į ateitį ir ėmėsi iniciatyvos kurti tokių paslaugų tinklą, kokių jau greitai itin reikės pacientams. Turime tinkamai pasirūpinti senėjančiais mūsų visuomenės nariais, užtikrinant jiems orią senatvę“, – atidaryme sakė ministras.
Gerins senjorų gyvenimo kokybę
LSMU Kauno ligoninės Geriatrijos klinikos vadovė prof. habil. dr. Vita Lisauskaitė taip pat pastebėjo, kad šis objektas reikšmingas visos Lietuvos mastu. „Kaip žinome, esame senstanti visuomenė ir džiugu, jog senjorams bus sudarytos didesnės galimybės kuo ilgiau patiems savimi pasirūpinti, neprireikiant slaugos ir globos“, – kalbėjo prof. V. Lisauskaitė.
LSMU Kauno ligoninės Geriatrijos skyriaus vadovė prof. Gytė Damulevičienė taip pat pabrėžė, kad pagrindinė geriatrijos mokslo paskirtis – padėti žmogui kuo ilgiau išlikti aktyviu visuomenėje net ir esant lėtinėms, senatvėje pasireiškiančioms ligoms ir sindromams. „Geriatrija – toli gražu ne slauga, o pagalba siekiant atkurti ir stiprinti pagrindines sveikatos funkcijas, leidžiančias ilgiau išsaugoti orią gyvenseną, senyvam žmogui kuo ilgiau gyventi savo namuose, išvengti tam tikrų ligų“, – aiškino prof. G. Damulevičienė.
Nuo šiol pacientams bus siūlomos ir Geriatrijos centro dienos stacionaro pasaugos. „Dienos stacionare bus atliekamas judėjimo sutrikimų, griuvimų rizikos, miego sutrikimo, blogos mitybos, šlapimo nelaikymo, rijimo sutrikimo, pažintinių funkcijų sutrikimo įvertinimas ir korekcija, taip pat numatoma vykdyti išsamų paciento ištyrimą ir būklės optimizavimą prieš laukiamą operacinį gydymą“, – kalbėjo prof. G. Damulevičienė. Taip pat Geriatrijos centre bus įgyvendinami moksliniai projektai, rengiami gydytojų, slaugytojų tobulinimosi kursai, čia bus metodinio vadovavimo geriatrinės tarnybos specialistams bazė.
