Liepos 5 dieną Lietuvos ambasadoje Kyjive, dalyvaujant gausiam būriui Lietuvos draugų, buvo iškilmingai paminėta Lietuvos Valstybės diena.
Renginyje dalyvavo Ukrainos Aukščiausiosios Rados pirmininko pavaduotojai Olena Kondratiuk ir Oleksandr Korniyenko, Ukrainos veteranų reikalų ministrė Yuliia Laputina, Ukrainos užsienio reikalų ministro pavaduotojas Mykola Tochytskyi, Ukrainos valstybės institucijų atstovai, užsienio šalių ambasadų vadovai ir diplomatai, lietuvių bendruomenės nariai, verslininkai, visuomenininkai, kultūros veikėjai.
Susirinkusius į minėjimą svečius pasveikino Lietuvos ambasadorius Ukrainoje Valdemaras Sarapinas, pažymėdamas, kad Lietuva ir toliau tvirtai rems Ukrainą jos kelyje į Europos Sąjungą ir NATO, tęs visokeriopą paramą Ukrainai, kovojančiai su Rusijos agresija.
