Siekdama sudaryti galimybę humanitarinę pagalbą teikiančioms Jungtinių Tautų sistemos organizacijoms kuo efektyviau išnaudoti paliaubų dėka atsiradusias sąlygas pagalbos teikimui, Lietuva skirs papildomus 100 tūkst. eurų humanitarinės pagalbos civiliams Palestinos gyventojams. Lietuvos indėlis padės tarptautinėms humanitarinėms organizacijoms Palestinoje tiekti maistą, vaistus, vandenį ir kitą gyvybiškai svarbią pagalbą civiliams gyventojams bei palengvins ligonių, sužeistųjų ir kitų pažeidžiamų asmenų evakuaciją.
Preliminariais skaičiavimais humanitarinės pagalbos poreikis Gazos Ruože viršija 1 mlrd. eurų. Nuo Izraelio ir teroristinės grupuotės „Hamas“ karo veiksmų pradžios apie 1,7 mln. žmonių buvo priversti palikti savo namus, o 2,2 mln. žmonių reikalinga humanitarinė pagalba.
2023 metais Lietuva jau yra skyrusi 180 tūkst. eurų pagalbos Palestinos gyventojams, kuri perduota per Jungtinių Tautų specializuotas agentūras.
