Lapkričio 21 d. 15 val. švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministras Gintautas Jakštas pristatys 2024 metų švietimo biudžeto projektą ir tai, kas daroma gerinant pedagogų darbo sąlygas, kaip sprendžiamos mokytojų keliamos problemos. Į renginį kviečiami mokytojai, mokyklų vadovai, visi besidomintieji švietimu. Numatoma, kad kitąmet švietimui bus skiriama 496 mln. Eur, arba14 proc., daugiau negu šiemet. Daugiausia papildomų lėšų (352,6 mln. Eur) suplanuota skirti pedagogų, dėstytojų, mokslininkų ir neakademinių darbuotojų atlyginimams didinti.
Numatyta, kad mokytojų ir kitų pedagoginių darbuotojų atlyginimai per 2024 m. augs 21 proc., darbo užmokestį didinant du kartus – nuo sausio 1 d. ir nuo rugsėjo 1 d. Nuo sausio 1 d. papildomų lėšų darbo užmokesčiui didinti skiriama 10 proc., nuo rugsėjo 1 d. – dar ne mažiau kaip 10 proc.
Kaip sutarta su keturiomis profesinėmis sąjungomis spalį atnaujintoje Lietuvos švietimo ir mokslo šakos kolektyvinėje sutartyje, kitų metų pirmoje pusėje bus parengtas planas dėl ilgalaikio mokytojų darbo užmokesčio didinimo iki 2028 metų.
Taip pat pradėta etatų dydžių peržiūra švietimo įstaigose, numatyti pirmieji žingsniai dėl klasių mažinimo. Nuo ateinančių mokslo metų bus mažinamas valstybės finansavimas savivaldybėms, formuojančioms per dideles klases.
