Socialinės apsaugos ir darbo ministrė Monika Navickienė susitiks su į Lietuvą atvykstančiu Islandijos švietimo ir vaikų reikalų ministru Ásmundur Einar Daðason. Susitikimo metu planuojama aptarti svarbiausius šalių bendradarbiavimo vaiko teisių apsaugos, vaiko gerovės, šeimos politikos srityse klausimus. Taip pat nemažai dėmesio bus skiriama jaunimo politikai.
Anot M. Navickienės, Lietuvą su Islandija sieja tas simbolinis ryšys, susikūręs islandams pirmiesiems pasaulyje pripažinus Lietuvos nepriklausomybę, o šiandien bendradarbiavimas tik stiprėja, daugelyje sričių įgauna naują kokybę.
„Susitikime kalbėsime apie šalių patirtį vaikų gerovės, įtraukties, integruotų paslaugų srityse, dalinsimės gerąja praktika. Bene daugiausiai dėmesio skirsime islandų jaunimo politikos modeliui aptarti, kurį jie pritaikę sugebėjo svariai sumažinti paauglių alkoholio, tabako ir kitų žalingų medžiagų vartojimą. Su psichoaktyvių medžiagų paauglių gretose vartojimu susiduriančiai mūsų visuomenei šis modelis šiandien itin aktualus“, – prieš susitikimą sako ministrė M. Navickienė.
Islandijos delegacija taip pat lankysi Seimo Socialinių reikalų ir darbo, Švietimo ir mokslo komitetuose, Vidaus reikalų, Švietimo, mokslo ir sporto ministerijose, Valstybės vaiko teisių apsaugos ir įvaikinimo tarnyboje, susitiks su Vaikų, nukentėjusių nuo seksualinės prievartos, pagalbos centro „Užuovėja“ bei Vilniaus „SOS vaikų kaimas“ atstovais.
