Birželio 19 dieną užsienio reikalų viceministras Mantas Adomėnas susitiko su programos „Bring Together Lithuania / Jungtis Lietuvai“ dalyviais – jaunaisiais Lietuvos diasporos atstovais.
Susitikimo metu programos dalyviams trumpai pristatyta Lietuvos diasporos politika, pabrėžta, kad kiekvienas lietuvių kilmės asmuo, kad ir kur jis gyventų, yra svarbi Lietuvos dalis.
„Globalios Lietuvos idėja – stiprinti valstybės ryšį su diaspora, puoselėti lietuvių tautinę tapatybę pasaulyje, sudaryti diasporai sąlygas aktyviai įsitraukti į Lietuvos gyvenimą. Džiaugiamės jūsų pasirinkimu šią vasarą atvykti stažuotis į Lietuvą, geriau pažinti savo šaknis, užmegzti arba stiprinti savo ryšį su Lietuva“, – susitikimo metu sakė viceministras.
Viceministras jaunimui taip pat papasakojo apie padėtį Ukrainoje, Lietuvos teikiamą paramą karo niokojamai šaliai, apie rengimąsi NATO viršūnių susitikimui Vilniuje vyksiančiam liepos 11‒12 dienomis, atsakė į gausius programos dalyvių klausimus apie įvairius užsienio politikos klausimus.
Susitikimo dalyviai paraginti toliau tęsti pažintį su Lietuva – Užsienio reikalų ministerija, bendradarbiaudama su kitomis Lietuvos institucijomis ir organizacijomis, parengė ir nuolat pildo Lietuvos diasporos jaunimui skirtą stažuočių, praktikos ir pažintinių programų Lietuvoje duomenų bazę. Joje – daugiau kaip 180 galimybių, kurias diasporos jaunimui siūlo 60 Lietuvos institucijų, įstaigų ir organizacijų.
Kazickų šeimos fondo globojama ir nuo 2018 metų įgyvendinamas projektas „Bring Together Lithuania / Jungtis Lietuvai“ – tai 6 savaičių trukmės programa diasporos jaunimui, kurios metu jie įvairiose Lietuvos įmonėse ir organizacijose įgyja profesinės patirties, taip pat keliauja po Lietuvą. Šiais metais programa vyksta birželio 10–liepos 23 dienomis. Šeštoji programos karta – tai 17 lietuvių kilmės jaunuolių iš JAV, Kanados, Naujosios Zelandijos, Brazilijos ir Airijos. Trečius metus iš eilės „Bring Together Lithuania / Jungtis Lietuvai“ programą remia ir Užsienio reikalų ministerija.
