Rugsėjo 20–21 dienomis Vilniuje ir Medininkuose vyksta Rytų partnerystės seminaras bendradarbiavimo muitinės klausimais. Šį renginį organizuoja Lietuvos Respublikos užsienio reikalų ministerija ir Muitinės departamentas prie Lietuvos Respublikos finansų ministerijos.
Renginyje, į kurį atvyko beveik šimtas dalyvių, dalyvauja Europos Sąjungos (ES) institucijų, tarptautinių organizacijų, ES valstybių narių atstovai ir Rytų partnerių – Ukrainos, Moldovos, Sakartvelo, Armėnijos ir Azerbaidžano – muitinių ir pasienio tarnybų delegacijos.
Sveikinimo kalbą renginio dalyviams sakęs užsienio reikalų viceministras Jonas Survila pabrėžė pasienio ir muitinės pareigūnų vaidmenį saugant savo šalių nepriklausomybę ir suverenitetą ir visų jų moralinę pareigą savo kasdieniu darbu padėti Ukrainai kuo greičiau nugalėti agresorę Rusiją.
„Šiandien muitinėms ir pasienio kontrolę užtikrinančioms institucijoms tenka svarbi pareiga ir atsakomybė neleisti Rusijai apeidinėti įvestų tarptautinių sankcijų, užkirsti kelią nelegaliam dvigubos paskirties prekių, kurios po to naudojamos agresijoje prieš Ukrainą, judėjimui. Tam būtinas kuo geresnis tarpusavio bendradarbiavimas, operatyvus apsikeitimas informacija bei gerosiomis praktikomis kaip užkardyti nelegalų prekių judėjimą. Tikimės, kad šis susitikimas Vilniuje prie to reikšmingai prisidės. Tai ne tik mūsų teisinė pareiga, numatyta įvairiuose kodeksuose bei susitarimuose, bet ir moralinė pareiga padėti Ukrainai kuo greičiau laimėti karą“, – pabrėžė J. Survila.
Renginyje pristatomos svarbiausios ES muitinės politikos aktualijos, dalinamasi gerąja patirtimi, mezgami bendradarbiavimo ateityje ryšiai. Daug dėmesio skiriama narystės ES siekiančių šalių – Ukrainos, Moldovos, Sakartvelo – susitarimų su ES įgyvendinimui, šių šalių laukiantiems iššūkiams būsimose derybose dėl narystės ES. Vienos iš svarbiausių temų yra vieningos integruotos pasienio valdymo kontrolės sukūrimas, muitinės ir sienos kirtimo procedūras lengvinantys skaitmeniniai sprendimai, taip pat ES sankcijos ir jų taikymo režimai.
Rytų partnerystės politika – nuoseklus ir ilgametis Lietuvos užsienio politikos prioritetas. Rusijai pradėjus plataus masto karą prieš Ukrainą, jos aktualumas tik dar labiau išaugo. Lapkričio 28–29 dienomis sukanka 10 metų nuo Rytų partnerystės Vilniaus Viršūnių susitikimo, o 2024 metų gegužę bus minima 15 metų sukaktis nuo Rytų partnerystės politikos inauguravimo Viršūnių susitikime Prahoje.
