Gegužės 24 dieną Lietuvoje lankėsi Jungtinių Tautų pagalbos ir darbų agentūros Palestinos pabėgėliams Artimuosiuose Rytuose (UNRWA) atstovybės Europos Sąjungai atstovas Marc Lassouaoui. Vizito metu Užsienio reikalų ministerijoje svečias susitiko su Globalių reikalų grupės, Vystomojo bendradarbiavimo departamento bei Jungtinių Tautų, tarptautinių organizacijų ir žmogaus teisių departamento vadovais ir darbuotojais.
Susitikimuose buvo pristatytos pagrindinės UNRWA veiklos sritys, aptarta tęstinė Lietuvos parama UNRWA veiklai ir siekis dar aktyviau prisidėti prie pagalbos Palestinos pabėgėliams Artimuosiuose Rytuose.
UNRWA atstovybės Europos Sąjungoje atstovo apsilankymas Vilniuje yra vizito į visas tris Baltijos šalis dalis.
