Birželio 28 dieną Lietuvos mokslo tarybos pirmininkas dr. Gintaras Valinčius kartu su Lietuvos Respublikos ambasadoriumi Prancūzijoje Nerijumi Aleksiejūnu ir patarėja Irena Skullerud lankėsi vieno didžiausių pasaulyje mokslinių tyrimo centro CNRS Biologijos institute (INSB), kur susitiko su INSB direktoriumi dr. André Le Bivic ir INSB Europos ir tarptautinių ryšių vadovu Emmanuel Brouillet.
„Džiaugiuosi, jog Lietuvos bendradarbiavimas su vienu didžiausių ir svarbiausių pasaulyje mokslinių tyrimų centru CNRS įgauna konkrečias formas“, – teigė N. Aleksiejūnas.
Susitikimo metu buvo aptartos CNRS ir Lietuvos tyrėjų bendradarbiavimo gyvybės mokslų srityje, prasidėjusios 2021 metais, stiprinimo galimybės. Rugsėjo mėn. planuojamas INSB neurologijos srityje dirbančių mokslininkų vizitas į Lietuvą, dalyvaujant „Life Sciences Baltics“ konferencijoje bei aplankant Lietuvos mokslo centrus, siekiant susipažinti su Lietuvos mokslininkų veikla gyvybės mokslo srityje, ypatingą dėmesį skiriant neurodegeneracinių ligų tyrimams.
2022 metų gruodį Lietuvos ambasada kartu su Lietuvos mokslo taryba ir CNRS surengė Lietuvos ir CNRS mokslininkų simpoziumą, skirtą gyvybės mokslų temoms. 2023 metų vasarį įvyko Lietuvos mokslininkų vizitas į CNRS gyvybės mokslų tyrimų laboratorijas Bordo mieste bei Bordo universitetą, siekiant užmegzti tyrėjų kontaktus ir stiprinti perspektyvą kartu dalyvauti tarptautiniuose projektuose.
