Ukrainos užsienio reikalų ministras D. Kuleba informuos ES kolegas apie dabartinę padėtį šalyje ir prioritetus. ES užsienio reikalų ministrai aptars ES saugumo įsipareigojimus Ukrainai, įskaitant tolesnę ES karinę paramą ir jos tvarų ilgalaikį tiekimą, rengiantis Europos Vadovų Tarybos susitikimui. Taip pat bus aptariamas tolesnis ES sankcijų prieš Rusiją stiprinimas.
Ministrai diskutuos apie situaciją Artimųjų Rytų regione po „Hamas“ teroristinių atakų prieš Izraelį, koordinaciją su partneriais siekiant užskirti kelią tolesnei eskalacijai regione. Tarybos metu ministrai aptars situaciją Sahelio regione, poreikį išlaikyti ES įsitraukimą, būtinybę kovoti su ekstremizmu ir nelegalia migracija bei būdus stabdyti galimą terorizmo plitimą.
Tarybos susitikimo išvakarėse VĮ J.Borrellio kvietimu taip pat rengiamas neformalus ES užsienio reikalų ministrų susitikimas su demokratinės Baltarusijos lydere S. Cichanouskaja, o prieš Tarybą – bendras ministrų susitikimas su Armėnijos užsienio reikalų ministru A. Mirzoyanu. Po Tarybos įvyks kasmetinis Rytų partnerystės šalių užsienio reikalų ministrų susitikimas.
