Jau netrukus valstybės pagalba bus teikiama tik už veisimo programose dalyvaujančių pieninių veislių gyvūnų (galvijų, avių, ožkų) produktyvumo tyrimus.
Šį sprendimą, kuris įsigalios nuo š. m. gegužės 1 d., Žemės ūkio ministerija priėmė siekdama, kad pagalbos veislininkystei lėšos būtų nukreiptos būtent ūkinių gyvūnų veislininkystei. Tokiu būdu norima paskatinti grynaveislių pieninių gyvūnų veisėjus dalyvauti šių gyvūnų veisimo programose.
„Netikslinga ir neracionalu pagalbą teikti už visų pieninių gyvūnų produktyvumo tyrimus, neatsižvelgiant į tai, ar šių tyrimų rezultatai ir duomenys yra panaudojami veislininkystei“, – sako žemės ūkio viceministras Vytautas Abukauskas.
Už ūkinių gyvūnų veislininkystę yra atsakingos šių gyvūnų veisimo asociacijas, kurios rengia ir įgyvendina veisimo programas. Žemės ūkio ministerija atkreipia dėmesį, kad gyvūnų laikytojai (veisėjai), norintys, kad jų gyvūnai būtų įrašyti į kilmės knygas ir dalyvautų veisimo programoje, neprivalo tapti veisimo asociacijos nariais, t. y. narystė asociacijoje nėra privaloma. Pakanka, kad gyvūnai būtų veisimo programos dalyviais.
Grynaveislių pieninių gyvūnų laikytojai, kurių gyvūnai nėra įtraukti į veisimo organizacijų programas, ir norintys, kad jų produktyvumas būtų tiriamas ir už tai gauti valstybės pagalbą (iki 70 proc. išlaidų kompensaciją), turi kreiptis į pasirinktą organizaciją:
