Birželio 2 dieną ministras Gabrielius Landsbergis dalyvavo kasmetiniame Baltijos jūros valstybių tarybai priklausančių šalių užsienio reikalų ministrų susitikime, kuris vyko Vismare, Vokietijoje. Pagrindinė susitikimo tema – Baltijos jūros regiono atsparumo didinimas.
„Lietuva ir Baltijos jūros šalių regionas tapo geruoju atsparumo Rusijos hibridinėms ir kitoms atakoms pavyzdžiu, tačiau grėsmių laukas nuolat didėja ir tai skatina mus neprarasti budrumo. Ne tik Lietuva, bet ir visas regionas tapo priešakine atsparumo linija, saugančia energetikos ir kitą kritinę infrastruktūrą Baltijos jūros regione bei stiprinančia saugumą, demokratiją ir taisyklėmis grįstą tvarką“, – susitikimo Vismare metu sakė Lietuvos diplomatijos vadovas.
Ministrai Vismare aptarė energetinės nepriklausomybės, kritinės infrastruktūros Baltijos jūroje apsaugą, jaunimo įtraukimą į pilietines iniciatyvas ir kovą su dezinformacija.
Baltijos jūros šalių ministrai taip pat pasirašė Vismaro deklaraciją, kurioje griežtai pasmerkė Rusijos agresiją prieš Ukrainą bei pritarė būtinybei užtikrinti Baltijos jūros saugumą.
„Matant, kiek pastangų ir resursų kainuoja saugiai iškelti sprogmenis, glūdinčius Baltijos jūros dugne nuo Antrojo pasaulinio karo, stiprėja ir bendras ryžtas neužsimerkti prieš tyčines Rusijos pastangas užminuoti Juodąją jūrą. Ši deklaracija – dar vienas bendras žingsnis, liudijantis Ukrainai ir pasauliui, kad mūsų regionas suvokia pragaištingas Rusijos imperinių ambicijų pasekmes“, – Vismaro deklaracijos pasirašymo metu pažymėjo ministras G. Landsbergis.
Baltijos Jūros valstybių tarybą, kuriai šiuo metu pirmininkauja Vokietija, sudaro Baltijos, Šiaurės šalių, Vokietijos ir Lenkijos užsienio reikalų ministrai ir Europos išorinių veiksmų tarnybos atstovas.
